Employee Connections has a grant-funded program called the Illinois Youth Investment Program (IYIP). This program allows youth between the ages of 16-24 the opportunity to work. Youth are paid $15/hr to work 30 hours per week, and are given 90 days to work 180 hours. This 90-day window lasts from June 1st-September 30th. Youth must reside in Lake County, IL.
Worksites that are most in need are the Waukegan Harbor & Marina, Farmer’s Insurance, and Minority Women & Urban Farms.
